Most bathroom vanities are built to a standard size and hoped to fit. Ours are measured and made for your bathroom specifically — the awkward corner, the narrow wall, the exact width you actually have — with the stone benchtop fabricated in-house alongside the cabinetry, so there’s no separate supplier to coordinate and no mismatch between the two.

Built-in and walk-in wardrobes are usually the room’s most awkward shape — a sloped ceiling, a narrow alcove, a corner nothing off-the-shelf fits properly — so we design the internal layout around how you’ll actually use it, with drawers where you need them and shelving that fits what you actually own, not a generic rail-and-shelf combination.

Family Run Cabinet Makers since 2003
Silverfern Interiors is run by Conrad Bishop, out of a workshop in Dandenong South.
Between them, over 35 years of combined experience across cabinetry, stone and glass. They live locally, on the Peninsula in Mount Martha, and have been building custom kitchens, vanities, wardrobes and commercial fit-outs across the Mornington Peninsula and Southeast Melbourne for more than 25 years.

How much do custom kitchen cabinets cost in Melbourne?

Is custom cabinetry worth it compared to flat-pack?
Custom pricing is often closer to flat-pack than people expect once exact-fit design is factored in – and there’s no generic sizing or waiting for cabinets on back order from a factory overseas.
How long does a custom kitchen take to build?
Most kitchen projects can take 4-12 WEEKS from signed quote to install. We pride ourselves on clear communication, dates upfront and we make sure you are never in the dark on your kitchen build.
Do you do commercial work as well as domestic?
Yes – the same team and standard covers both domestic and commercial jobs. Past commercial projects include the Palais Theatre bar and Mulgrave Country Club.
Do you make the stone benchtops and glass yourselves, or subcontract them?
Everything is made in-house – cabinetry, stone and glass. It’s all made under one roof to the highest standards and we ensure that everything that leaves our premises is precise and ready for installation.
